Every child walks into school carrying something
Some of it, you can't see
In every school and every community, there are students carrying something invisible: the weight of foster care, adoption, and family stories that don’t fit neatly into a morning routine.
Their teachers want to reach them. The See the Whole Child campaign makes sure they can.
This spring, iCARE is equipping educators, social workers, and school support staff with the training and tools to look beyond the behavior and truly see the student. Because when an adult in that building truly sees a child, everything changes.
Here’s what your support makes possible:
- An educator who once struggled to reach a student now leads with curiosity and connection.
- A student who felt invisible now feels seen and understood.
- A family that once struggled to connect with the school now has a partner in it.
iCARE has already trained hundreds of educators, social workers, and administrators across Illinois. We are not done. There are students in every school and every community who are carrying more than anyone around them can see, and their teachers are ready to reach them.
Your gift makes sure they know how.
