What AI Can’t Teach—and What Truly Changes Everything

Dear Friends,

At the Fear to Love conference this summer, Bryan Post shared a line that stayed with me: “Fear says, ‘Fix it.’ Love says, ‘Create the relationship and the environment to allow the behavior to fix itself.’”

It reminded me why iCARE exists. Whether it’s insights from C.A.S.E., NTDC, TBRI®, or Doug Bolton’s article featured in this newsletter—what we believe is simple:
Healing happens in everyday moments.

That’s why we created our Connection Kits™ and Connected, We Thrive™ training series—to equip the entire school team with practical, developmentally attuned strategies that foster trust, safety, and connection. From Tier 1 to Tier 3, these tools help build school systems where every child has the chance to thrive.

We are proud to cheer on West40 as they launch their new School-Based Mental Health Collaborative: Social Work Network—a bold step toward peer-connected, sustained support and to collaborate with other educators throughout our state.

As we head into a new school year filled with big conversations—and even bigger hopes—let’s remember that relationships are the real game-changer.

In a world chasing innovation, connection is still the most transformative tool we have.

With love and gratitude,

HelpEveryChildBeSeen

Your Giving Tuesday gift helps place Connection Kits™ in schools so every child feels seen and supported.

Just $25 places a Connection Kit™ in a classroom. Your gift creates belonging where it’s needed most.

Give today and spread hope.

Will You Help us give kids what they need to thrive in school?

We’ve already made a BIG impact delivering 1,000 Connection Kits™ to schools. But right now, we’re just short of our goal to produce and deliver another 1,000 kits to schools across Illinois.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 99-1493489), and donations may be eligible for employer matching to amplify your impact.
